The Ibis Department of Public Safety is seeking motivated, professional applicants for the full-time positions of Public Safety Officer and EMT to serve our community of 6,000 people.

Our armed Public Safety Officer/EMTs provide services as first responders to all emergency calls for service involving medical emergencies and criminal complaints as well as customer service calls involving civil matters. Public Safety Officers operate emergency vehicles, patrol roads and communities to suppress crime, conduct traffic enforcement, emergency response, and perform access control and dispatch duties.

Requirements:

• State EMT certification (For position of EMT only)
• Pass a command staff oral board
• Pass a background check screening for felonies or crimes involving perjury
• Clean driving history
• Be lawfully allowed to possess a firearm
• Security Officer “D” License and Statewide Firearms “G” License preferred, but not required at time of application. (Will be required to obtain both as a condition of employment).
• Prior military, police, fire, or security experience a plus, but not required
